Have you reviewed or updated your free Gravatar profile for use across the WordPress.com blogging ecosystem? Gravatar is how you get a profile photo and a link to your blog or website when you like someone’s blog post in the WordPress.com Reader. You have probably seen the Like button on people’s blog posts that show who has recently liked that post (like the one at the bottom of my post here). It shows profile photos with links to their Gravatar page. On your Gravatar page, you want to have at minimum, your profile photo, a brief bio description, and a link to your WordPress.com blog or website. You can also add your social media links. Keeping your Gravatar profile updated with your site link and other info can help you gain trust in the WordPress.com community, and gain traffic to your site. Not to mention, you’ll help bloggers beautify their blogs when your profile photo shows up next to their Like buttons on their blog posts.
