  • So Many Spam Flavors

Who in the world knew that there are a ton of different Spam canned meat flavors? I just looked on Amazon to see if they can beat Walmart’s price on the original Classic Spam (and they did), but I saw that there is not just Classic Spam, but also Gochujang Spam, Hickory Smoke Spam, Hormel Bacon Spam, Hot & Spicy Spam, Hot Honey Spam, Jalapeno Spam, Japanese BBQ Sauce Spam, Korean BBQ Spam, Maple Spam, Oven Roasted Turkey Spam, Teriyaki Spam, and Tocino Seasoning Spam. There could possibly be even more flavors. I didn’t browse around to find out. I did however order a case of the Classic Spam. I know the stuff is probably not the most healthy food item (but what is these days anyway), but I have found it to be a filling food staple for breakfast. Add a bowl of grits and scrambled eggs, and breakfast is on like Donkey Kong. IN OTHER NEWS, I’ve started curating a list of Ebay stores I think are worth listing. The following are in the category of “Gay Interest”, meaning they sell items such as books, calendars, photo prints, and magazines that are targeted at a gay male audience: alwayswantedthis, archivedaddy, bjhlodnicki, cakebeef, chfu_2449, gayparadise Sea of BooksnMore, gemi-eclectic-emporium, Maillac, oxxbridgegalleries, peachykingsshop, silvestre_25, and Velour Press. Gay Interest is not the only Ebay Stores category I’m curating stores from. It just happens to be the category I’m working on most recently. IN OTHER NEWS, I made my blogging goal for last month, and I’m really happy about it. I had set a goal to publish at least 10 blog posts every day. It didn’t matter what type of blog post it was, or what category they belonged to. I just needed to finish the month with at least 310 blog posts published. I finished the month last night with 319 blog posts published in October 2026. I wonder if I can do it again this month, and finish up with 300 for 30 days? I guess we’ll see. I will already be 3 ahead of today’s goal with this post. IN OTHER NEWS, this blog today is 48 days old, and the Hot On Threads blog post series featuring Threads content creators in the fitness and bodybuilding categories has become the bigger part of this blogging project. I didn’t intend for it to become one of the bigger features though. It started out as something “fun” to do, but then I discovered that like with all other content I curate, I find that I enjoy following the content creators, admiring their work, sharing their photos, while also possibly providing a little help to direct web traffic to their profile pages on Threads. Not to mention, as of today, I have over 200 photos posted in the series so far, and so that means I have begun building a nice archive of my favorite photos in that section of the blog while also providing credits to the photo owners. At times I can tell by my analytics that some of you out there are also enjoying those posts. I appreciate the likes on those posts, and I encourage you to go check out their profiles on Threads. I’m only posting selected favorite photos that I find, but they are telling their story and deserve all the credit and attention for their work on Threads.

  • Spam And Cross Stitch World

This morning at the grocery store I bought something I haven’t eaten in a long time – a can of Spam. I know, not the healthiest food product, but I could be eating worse I guess. I’m having it for breakfast. It’s kinda tasty, or maybe I’m just hungry. Last night I told myself don’t go home and get on the computer. Everything on it will be there the next night, but here I am writing a jibber jabber post about Spam lol. I am going to limit my time though. If I have one day this week to not do any chores, today will be it, and I am going to work on a new Cross Stitch World digital art this morning. I am finally getting into a routine where I can schedule at least one blog post per day, and I’m choosing my Earthcam screenshots to do that with. I am working at the rate of schedule a post, and then do some work for an hour, and then take a few minutes break if needed. I get to keep my blog active, and get other work done without slaving in WordPress too much unless I want to. Ok time to get stitching.

  • Thank you Askismet

I was craving cheese last night, and I just ate some sharp cheddar cheese, but that’s not the topic of this post. So I’m typically not the type of blogger who leaves my website and blogs open for comments, specifically due to that I’m not a fan of moderating for spam or trolls, but when I started CRAYY.co on the 15th this month, I thought I would change my tune and try to have an open forum on this domain where people could comment or leave feedback. Imagine my shock when I actually started getting comments lol. It was like, what? Who’s talking to me? Imagine the bigger shock when I noticed 7 messages that were sent straight to the spam tab in comments moderation. That was magically done by Akismet (automatically included when you have a free or paid site on the WordPress.com platform). I know that Akismet has been around for a number of years, over 20 in fact. It was launched by Automattic, the company founded by WordPress co-creator Matt Mullenweg on October 25th, 2005. So I’m just glad to see that Akiskmet was doing it’s job to make it super simple to see all the spam at a glance and delete all of it by clicking the “Empty Spam” button. In other random news, if I didn’t mention it, I recently bought a new laptop to upgrade my setup for blogging, and managing my work. Specifically I bought it to use Thunderbird for Gmail, because I’m stuck using Outlook on my Surface Pro 11 because Thunderbird and even BetterBird doesn’t work on that machine, and I don’t know why, but I’m not much of a fan of Outlook. There is something I can’t pinpoint about it that makes me feel cruddy whenever I use it. So I got Thunderbird working just fine. I have started connecting some of my older email accounts, and between two that I’ve connected so far, I now have over 73K emails to do something with. I also have probably 20 more emails to add to Thunderbird. I am about as bad at hoarding old email accounts as I am hoarding WordPress.com domains lol. Oh well, there are much worse things I could be hung up on I guess.
