What does it mean to be a good person?
You have to be good to yourself before you can be good to others. You achieve this by being loyal to yourself before giving loyalty to someone else, including your ratchet ass parents. Sure parents automatically earn some loyalty for being the ones who brought you into this world, however some parents, like mine, do not know or show respect to their adult offspring. Many of them think they don’t have to, but lines have to be drawn somewhere. You also need to self care yourself, and set boundaries for yourself and self obey those boundaries with people. Being a good person means not allowing yourself to be a door mat for others.
