• I Didn’t Get Rich Yet But I Buy What I Want

What’s something you’ve done that your past self would be proud of?

There used to be a time when I could barely afford anything. I love electronics and I remember arguing with myself over could I buy something or I better stay frugal. I’m not rich, but if I want that PS5 or the new Nintendo Switch 2, I would go get it and not think twice about it. My old self would be amazed at how time has changed, and myself as well in that area. This is not a bragging post. This is a finally reaching the point I deserve for all of my hard work.

  • Bixby Lied To Me About The Weather

This Jibber Jabber post is a slight rant, so skip rants if you hate rants. This evening I am a little shocked, baffled, annoyed, and my flabbers are gasted. For longer than I can remember, Bixby (Samsung’s mobile assistant on Galaxy phones) has been my weather man. I just ask it something like “Is it going to rain tonight?”, and it checks the local weather and let’s me know right away what to expect, and as far as I can remember, it has always been correct. I did that tonight on my new Samsung S26 Ultra, several times in fact (3 times I think), and every time it told me that it was not going to rain. Mind you I was standing outside looking at dark clouds developing in the sky at the time, which looked like rain was probably on the way. One of the times I asked it if it was sure it was not going to rain tonight with these clouds in the sky (my exact words), and it told me no lol. I thought to myself, ok just trust it, but we all know what some damn rain clouds look like. Guess what. It started raining lol. Now I’m almost instantly untrusting of it. Yes I know the weather can change before conditions are updated online. So maybe Bixby checked invalid reports for the specific time, but aren’t we living in an era now where our meteorologists, and Government owned weather agencies across the whole United States knows what it’s going to do next week? They knew where Hurricane Isaias was going to hit on land well enough and was right. Ok I’m done whining. HELLO IT IS FRIDAY – HAPPY WEEKEND!!! I have decided I’m not going to break my neck with blog work this weekend, but I do fully intend to post as much as possible in the Hot On Threads category. I’m going to have a personal party on my own, listening to music on the DI.fm EDM Hits channel, and find some awesome pics to share.

  • Artcraft Is A Whole Uproar Right Now

I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen such a huge uproar over something like the new Artcraft open source software clones of Adobe Photoshop and other Adobe software, and I’m enjoying all the different views on this topic that I’m watching on Youtube lately. Maybe it was when Metallica sued Napster over mp3 downloads that something felt like “whoa that’s a big deal”. My whole Youtube feed over the last few days has been videos from people talking about Artcraft. I am not a Photoshop user. I used to use Photoshop many years ago when I got a bootleg version of Photoshop 6 (I said 6 lol – not CS6). But eventually that stopped working as the Windows OS changed, and Adobe went to subscriptions, and I’m not going to pay a subscription for that. I bought Affinity Photo 1 in 2021 (I think – I would have to check my license for it to be sure), and I still use that currently. In fact it’s what I use to design my logos and other graphics I use for my blogs and websites. I know there is now a new Canva owned version of that, but I haven’t tried it. Affinity Photo 1 does everything I need. I would be lying if I said I’m not excited to see all of this cloned software coming out. Sure the software is buggy now, and that seems to be a major concern as it should be, but developers have paid software out currently that is buggy as well, and I’m sure these open source clones can and will be fixed. UpNote for example is constantly getting updated for bug fixes. I applaud the guy who cloned Photoshop. In a way, I hate to see developers slammed with developments like that because I do believe in supporting software developers and engineers by paying for certain software that I couldn’t be productive without, but at the same time, I feel it’s deserving. Software companies have been ripping off people for decades just because they could. Bring on more clones. Bring on more open source.

  • None That I Can Remember

What’s the best online course you’ve ever taken?

In all the years that I’ve been on the internet since 1998, taking online courses is not something I have done. Perhaps I should give it a try sometime. I know there are a lot of free ones out there.

  • Meeting Tracy Lawrence Would Be Cool I Think

Which celebrity would you love to meet, and what would you talk about?

Why do I feel like this question probably comes up a lot? Anyway, I think it would be fun to meet country music singer Tracy Lawrence. At one time in my life during the 90s and early 2000s he was my biggest country music idol, along with Tim McGraw, and Toby Keith. I would just thank him for many great albums that were great to listen to then, and even now, great songs, and 2 great times I got to see him in concert back in the 90s. I saw his concerts in Killeen, Texas, or maybe it was Dallas or Austin (I forgot), and also at Fort Hood, Texas while I was in the Army. I saw him at those concerts between sometime in 1994 and 1996.

  • Site Layout Changes And Other Recent Site Updates

Today is Thursday, October 15th, 2026 and CRAYY.co is a whole 1 month old. I’ve been extremely busy blogging and building this site. In 1 month I have over 200 posts published and 61 pages. I’ve had more likes and comments left on this blog in this 1 month than I ever have on any other blog I’ve maintained on the WordPress platform since I got on it in 2014. I don’t know what that says about me as a blogger, but I apparently I started doing something right. In a quick time, I have had to change the way commenting can be done on this blog. You need to have a WordPress.com account in order to leave comments here. I have removed the ability to comment with a Facebook account because I am finding that links to Facebook profiles or pages either don’t work, or are fake, or are apparently made private, or for some reason cannot be viewed. If I cannot view your Facebook link, my site visitors can’t either, and your comment is not going up on this blog, but that doesn’t matter now because you can only comment when logged in with your WordPress.com account. While on the topic of comments, if your comment wasn’t approved, you need to work on your Gravatar profile, or your blog. I get that some people are on the WordPress.com platform simply to have a place to chat with some folks versus going out on social media. I know there are a lot of retired people here on this platform that fit that description. WordPress.com is actually a great place for that, and there is a very vibrant community of people from all walks of life from around the globe here, but I am also getting that some people simply don’t care for keeping their Gravatar profile, or their blog and websites up to date. Your comment might be a great one, but not if your profile and link is trash, or your blog hasn’t been updated in over six months. I’m not going to approve comments for people who were bored enough to say something, but not bored enough to build and maintain their platform and actually contribute something to the blogging community. I know from initial appearance my blog may not look like anything more than another chat spot over some pictures and daily writing prompts, but as a content creator and curator, I am maintaining a level of professionalism here, and a part of that means catering to people who hold the same interests I have in operating updated blogs and profiles versus the other. I chose the Bitacora WordPress theme for this site because I prefer a sidebar style layout for my blog, and it is just one out of 2 that I found available (the other one being Nook), and I liked the uncluttered look of Bitacora. I have been experimenting with adjusting the theme’s layout settings to make the layout appear as I want. For me, the original Bitacora theme is a little too narrow, but fortunately I’ve learned enough about Gutenburg and it’s block system to be able to make adustments. I like a layout that takes up at about 80% to 90% of the width in a normal size computer screen. So I’ve learned how to widen the theme a little bit to make it that way. I’ve also learned how to restructure the theme so that a web page background could be added while the blog content stays on a solid color or gradient color scheme. Over the next month I could be converting the layout to do that. Before Gutenburg came along, my favorite WordPress theme was Colinear. It allowed for easily adding web page backgrounds, and I used to love that. It’s an easy way to make a website look beautiful without too much effort. I got started on building a WordPress Support section on the blog. I will soon begin filling the posts for that with links to guides in the WordPress.com Support Center. Next I’m planning to add a section on the blog for curating Wikipedia articles, and I’ll soon add my Apps & Software Arsenal listings to the sidebar. Those will be links to the apps, software, and online tools I use the most to stay productive. So a lot of work and accomplishments made in the first month with plans for continued growth.
