  • It Seems Like I Stock Up Just So That I Can Lose Things

What the hell? I lost my rubber tip stylus last night. I don’t know how. I didn’t go anywhere with it, that I know of. Some time not too long ago, I stocked up on a bunch (more than 20 or 30) sets of MEKO brand rubber tip stylus pens with the small rubber tips, for use with my phones and tablets, especially for my phones. I love the S-Pen that Samsung includes with their Ultra phones, but often I find them quirky to use, or they don’t register too great on the screen, and they become awkward or tiresome… Continue reading

  • It’s Snoopy And Woodstock For Me

If you could pick any fictional animal to be your lifelong companion (like a Pokémon or fantasy pet), what would it be? I had to think about it for awhile this morning because there are so many great fictional cartoon pets to choose from. I thought about the mouse in Tom and Jerry. Then I thought about Garfield the cat. But I’m going with Snoopy and his fluttering friend, the little yellow bird, Woodstock from the Peanuts comics and cartoons. I always enjoyed the holiday Charlie Brown shows and the comic strips growing up. Continue reading

  • FAFO Friday Without My Flash Drive

I FAFO’d myself tonight. I left my workhorse flash drive plugged in on my home office computer. Now I can’t access a lot of my notes at my other office. This also means I can’t do anything that requires saving pictures or videos tonight. So I am limited on what I can do online regarding blogging, except for that which I can write in UpNote and save to the cloud, or post directly to my website with tags to mark content for collecting later. It’s not a total loss. I can always find something to do that grows my projects.… Continue reading

  • I Would Be Me But A Richer Version

If you had to switch lives with a fictional character for a week, who would you choose? The question didn’t say you have to choose an actual fictional character. So I’m making up that suddenly I’m never going to have to worry about money, and I live in a nice apartment, always a good running vehicle, and groceries, and whatever other food, and necessities I may need delivered daily. That’s it. I would be the person everybody wants to be in the USA. FINANCIALLY SECURE. Continue reading

  • Daft Punk Goes Medieval In Courseval’s Bardcore Cover

French bardcore group Courseval has recast Daft Punk’s atmospheric 2001 Discovery track “Veridis Quo” as a medieval-style performance that exchanges its electronic pulse and synthesizer textures for woodwinds, lute-led instrumentation, organic strings, and a stately chamber-music feel. The arrangement preserves the song’s memorable, shadowy melodic character while imagining how it might have sounded centuries before electronic dance music, an approach well suited to “Veridis Quo” because the original already carries dark keyboard tones reminiscent of a haunted organ. Courseval, which specializes in transporting contemporary songs into a historical musical setting, previously adapted songs by Chappell Roan, Gloria Gaynor, Harry Styles,… Continue reading

  • This Week’s Cross-Platform Book Best Sellers

Book Riot’s September 17, 2026 roundup combines rankings from The New York Times, Amazon Charts, Publishers Weekly, USA Today, and Indie Bestsellers to identify the books showing the broadest sales momentum across major U.S. lists. Allen Levi’s Theo of Golden, Matt Dinniman’s Dungeon Crawler Carl, and Kathryn Stockett’s The Calamity Club appeared on all five tracked lists, while Rachel Gillig’s gothic romantasy sequel The Knave and the Moon and Caro Claire Burke’s Yesteryear landed on four. Among the notable three-list titles were Man Booker Prize winner Marlon James’s The Disappearers, a novel set against the repercussions of a gay man’s… Continue reading

  • Waze Turns Commutes Into A Forgotton Island Adventure

Waze has launched a global, English-language navigation experience inspired by DreamWorks Animation’s upcoming original film Forgotten Island, which is scheduled to arrive in theaters on September 25, 2026. The feature brings Jo, the film’s adventurous heroine voiced by Grammy and Academy Award winner H.E.R., into the passenger seat as a custom navigation voice, delivering directions with upbeat confidence, warmth, and phrases such as “Tayo na!” and “Strap in… let’s roll!” Drivers can also select a “Nostalgic” mood that displays Jo’s retro, paint-splattered boombox, which reflects her signature mixtapes, and replace the usual map arrow with “Jo’s Jeepney,” a vibrant vehicle… Continue reading

  • Some Bridges Are Meant To Burn

Fake people are only down with you when ACCESSIBILITY is available, until they FAFO, after they mishandle you, and set the bridge on fire. They don’t know where or how to rebuild the bridge, and sooner or later FAFO with somebody willing to let bridges burn. They think people can’t live without them. Sometimes they can’t, or don’t have a choice, until things work out in their favor that they can leave BS they had to put up with around “favors” behind. Burning bridges is fun with fake people as soon as you can, and it brings so much peace… Continue reading
