10 quotes for living a real life, part 1.
Real Words:
- 80% of success is showing up. – Woody Allen
- A billionaire’s advice: When you’re not sure, flip a coin, because when the coin is in the air, you realize which option you’re actually hoping for.
- A bird is not a fish. Don’t let people lie to you. You don’t have to confront them unless necessary. A better reaction is to quietly ghost them. Whether or not that is permanent depends on you and the situation.
- A comfort zone is a beautiful place but nothing ever grows there.
- A liar will always find a new lie before they tell the truth.
- A lot of people stay stuck on their excuses and trick themselves into believing they did their best. Did they? Or was there something else they could have done? I’m not judging and I ask myself this same damn question. At the end of the day though, when you have been forced to separate from people, they don’t realize until it’s too late how hard you rode for them when you could. Some of them may never realize that. You take your love and give it to yourself and you move yourself ahead. Leave them stuck where they were and you continue to grow.
- A lot of problems come from not putting people in their place the first time they try you. Be aware that you can escalate the situation however and be prepared to handle it. Some asshat people can’t handle being wrong, even when they know they’re wrong.
- A place for everything. Everything in it’s place. That includes people. Sort it all out! Soon enough you will discover some people need to be pushed back a little. Or a lot.
- A sign of an intelligent person is their ability to learn from anyone, even those they dislike.
- A strong life is not built by avoiding pressure. It’s built by learning how to stay steady inside it. Pressure reveals what you’re made of. And also what you need to fix. Both matter.
About These Quotes:
I have been hoarding quotes and sayings for years, especially since around 2015. The collection of quotes in this blog post is a part of a giant collection I’ve put together over the years. These quotes and sayings are highly personal to me. Some I wrote, some I didn’t. Some I collected and added my own thoughts to, or took some things away to match situations and thought patterns I was living through at the time whenever these were added to my collection. This collection plays no games. If you are easily offended, then skip reading.
